Travis Kelce, the star tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, is set to make his first major acting debut in Ryan Murphy’s new FX horror series Grotesquerie. Kelce will be joining the star-studded cast, which includes talented actors such as Niecy Nash-Betts, Courtney B. Vance, and Lesley Manville.
Production for the highly anticipated series has already begun, however, details about the show are being tightly kept under wraps. Grotesquerie is expected to premiere in the fall, coinciding with the next football season as Kelce returns to the field with the Chiefs.
This will not be Kelce’s first venture into the world of acting, as he made his debut as the host of Saturday Night Live in March 2023. The talented athlete has also appeared in other TV projects, showcasing his versatility and passion for the industry.
Kelce’s Hollywood ambitions have been steadily growing since signing with Creative Artists Agency (CAA) last year. He also recently made his debut as an executive producer on the indie film My Dead Friend Zoe, further solidifying his presence in the entertainment world.
Ryan Murphy, known for helping talented individuals transition into acting, has been instrumental in Kelce’s upcoming role. Murphy famously gave Lady Gaga her first major acting role before she went on to star in the hit film A Star Is Born.
Fans got a glimpse of what to expect from Grotesquerie when a teaser was released in February, featuring mysterious audio that hinted at the show’s horror themes. With Kelce’s star power and Murphy’s track record of success, Grotesquerie is sure to be a must-watch series when it premieres later this year.
