Three Law Enforcement Officers Killed in Charlotte Shooting
In a tragic incident in Charlotte, North Carolina, three law enforcement officers lost their lives while trying to serve a warrant. The shooting took place as the U.S. Marshals Service fugitive task force was attempting to serve the warrant in east Charlotte. At least six people were shot in total, including two deceased officers and two wounded sheriff’s deputies.
One of the shooting suspects was found dead when a SWAT team entered the house, although it remains unclear how the suspect died. The police department’s SWAT team responded to the scene after reports of active gunfire. Witnesses described chaotic scenes with shots ringing out and officers calling for someone to come out of a neighboring house.
Video posted on social media captured the large police presence at the scene as authorities worked to secure the area. The incident is still under investigation, and updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
