Road Rug Cars Exclusive: iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max Prices Set to Soar
In a shocking revelation, DigiTimes’ senior analyst Luke Lin predicts that the upcoming iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max could be hit with a significant price increase compared to their predecessors. This news comes as a surprise to many Apple enthusiasts who were eagerly waiting for the highly anticipated devices.
The reason behind this price hike is attributed to the incorporation of new technologies in the larger model, including a titanium chassis and periscope camera technology. These advanced features are expected to elevate the user experience to new heights, but it seems that they come at a cost, quite literally.
Adding to the concern for Apple, global smartphone demand is projected to soften in the latter half of 2023. This decline in demand could potentially impact the sales of the new iPhone models, especially with the proposed increase in prices. However, Apple remains optimistic about the future as reports suggest the company has ordered between 80 to 90 million units of the iPhone 15, a slight decrease from the 90 to 100 million units ordered for the iPhone 14 models last year.
According to insiders, the leading order share is for the iPhone 15 Pro Max, followed by the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15, and iPhone 15 Plus. This indicates a strong demand for the larger and more advanced models, despite the higher price tag. Notably, previous forecasts have indicated that the Pro models could be at least $100 more expensive than their predecessors.
Renowned Apple analysts Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman and Jeff Pu have also reported on the potential price increase for the Pro models. This adds weight to the speculations, fuelling anticipation and discussions among Apple enthusiasts.
The curtain is set to be lifted on the entire iPhone 15 lineup at Apple’s much-awaited “Wonderlust” event on Tuesday, September 12. During this event, the tech giant is expected to showcase the remarkable features and innovations in their upcoming models, including the larger display sizes. Supply chain information has suggested that Apple plans to increase the display sizes of both Pro models next year, from the current 6.1- and 6.7-inches to 6.3- and 6.9-inches.
As the launch date approaches, fans and industry observers eagerly await further details on the pricing, availability, and features of the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. With the potential for a significant price increase, it remains to be seen how the market and consumers will respond to the latest offerings from Apple.
