Taylor Swift fans, known as Swifties, are eagerly awaiting the release of her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department, set to drop on Friday. The album was announced after Swift won her 14th Grammy award in February, and she has since unveiled four variants of the album during her latest tour, each featuring a unique bonus track.
In addition to the album release, Swift will also be dropping a music video on the same day. To build excitement for the album, she has curated playlists based on the stages of heartbreak and partnered with Apple Music and Spotify for promotions.
Although the album leaked on April 18, fans are encouraged to wait for the official release. The album features 16 new songs with bonus tracks spread across CD and vinyl releases. Collaborators on the album include Post Malone, Florence and the Machine, Jack Antonoff, and Aaron Dessner.
The bonus tracks included in the different variants of the album are named The Bolter, The Albatross, The Black Dog, and The Manuscript. Fans can purchase the different variants at Target, with prices varying for CDs and vinyl. However, there is no confirmed date for streaming the bonus tracks.
Based on past release patterns from Taylor Swift, bonus songs from the album are not likely to be available for streaming immediately. Swifties are gearing up for a big album release week, with anticipation building for The Tortured Poets Department and all the surprises it may hold.
